BALLY, 1989, by Bernard Villemot

This 1989 poster by French graphic artist Bernard Villemot was created for Bally, the Swiss luxury fashion house renowned for its high-quality footwear and accessories. The artwork features a stylized female figure, rendered in bold, flowing lines, with a spherical earth-like orb above her raised foot. The minimalist color palette and dynamic composition are characteristic of Villemot's distinctive advertising style.

Bally, established in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally in Switzerland, has a long-standing reputation for craftsmanship in luxury shoes and leather goods. By the late 20th century, the brand had expanded its product range to include handbags, accessories, and ready-to-wear items, solidifying its status in the global fashion industry. Bernard Villemot (1911–1989) was a prominent French poster artist known for his work with major brands such as Orangina, Perrier, and Air France. His collaboration with Bally resulted in some of the most iconic advertising posters of the era.
