Created during the post-war era, this poster was part of a campaign to rejuvenate France's tourism industry by promoting its ski resorts. The French Alps, known for their sunny weather and excellent skiing conditions, became a prime destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
Jacques Dubois (1912–1994) was a French pastellist, draughtsman, poster artist, and graphic designer. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris under Jean Carlu and A.M. Cassandre, two prominent figures in graphic design. Dubois worked for the French Tourist Office from 1946 to 1968, creating numerous posters that showcased France's attractions. His work is characterized by a blend of modernist design principles and playful imagery.

Natural Pine Frames
Our wooden poster frames are made from durable natural pine wood and come ready to hang. The frames measure 23mm thick by 12mm wide and feature art-quality, shatterproof plexiglass to ensure safe shipping (no glass). Remember to peel off the protective film before you hang!
