This 1933 poster by Spanish artist Aníbal Tejada advertises Orbea bicycles. The artwork features a cobalt-blue bicycle set against a pastel-hued background, creating a striking visual contrast. A strong, masculine figure is depicted riding the bike while holding a trophy, suggesting the award-winning status of the brand. The bright orange label on the bicycle prominently identifies it as an Orbea.
Founded in 1840 in Eibar, Spain, Orbea originally manufactured firearms before transitioning to bicycle production in the 1930s. This strategic shift allowed the company to adapt to changing market demands and economic conditions. By the mid-20th century, Orbea had become one of Spain's leading bicycle manufacturers.
Aníbal Tejada, born in 1897, was a Spanish artist recognized for his commercial illustrations. Details about his life and career beyond that are unfortunately limited.

Natural Pine Frames
Our wooden poster frames are made from durable natural pine wood and come ready to hang. The frames measure 23mm thick by 12mm wide and feature art-quality, shatterproof plexiglass to ensure safe shipping (no glass). Remember to peel off the protective film before you hang!
